The2020game is a board game that puts players in the position of different stakeholders of the Energy scenario in The Netherlands.The game facilitates discussions and role play (people position themselves in roles that they’re normally not in). Through its design, it provided tangible outcomes of decision making and proposed an overview of possible future scenarios regarding the implementation of green energy in the Netherlands.
Reflection
This project introduced me to the complexity of societal challenges like climate change from a designerly point of view. I was hooked, and this formed the base for my fascination with societal relevant projects that aim to transform current practices toward more sustainable ones.
